After the season opener of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza (ITA) on 12th March 2015 the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 #19, entered by Grasser Racing Team from Austria, was excluded from the results. This decision deprived the team of the overall victory on a provisional basis. Following the race, the technical scrutineers deemed the refuelling system not to be in conformity with the regulations.
Gottfried Grasser’s team appealed against the exclusion immediately.
The hearing regarding the decision made at Monza took place in Brussels (BEL) today. Following the statements of the parties involved, the commission was unable to reach a verdict. The decision was postponed for another ten days.
Gottfried Grasser (Team Principal): “We will have to be patient a little longer. However, we are confident that the RACB will make the right decision and expect it to be in our favour. The fact that this decision is pending will not affect our preparations for the next race at Silverstone (GBR) this weekend in any way. We will focus on the event and intend to battle for victory again.”
